Happy Thursday everyone,

This coming Sunday we are celebrating Harvest!

In a jam-packed week the 9:30 will be hosting a baptism and celebrating communion and we see the start of an 11am Sung Eucharist at All Saints’ on a monthly basis. There will also be a harvest celebration at St Peter’s at 11am. For Harvest we will reflect on Jesus’ words urging us to take comfort in God’s care for us and his wider creation. It’s an amazing truth that since God has clothed nature in wondrous beauty and ordered provision for the birds of the air, so he is faithful and will provide for us. Join us as we celebrate Harvest together and give thanks for God’s good gifts. There will be a retiring collection after our services in support of Christian Aid and their relief work in Indonesia.

Our newly-formed St. Peter’s Children’s Choir is up and running! For children, ages 9-13, there is still time to join. For more information, contact Ben Ewert.

On 4 November (7pm), the parish is hoping to host a special service of Holy Communion at All Saints’ Church, featuring the luminous musical setting by Gabriel Faure, performed by a chamber orchestra of professional and semi-professional musicians. Many of these musicians have either generously donated their time or have only asked for travel costs. We have created a  Chalfont St Peter Worship Appeal  to support this event and future ones like it. Please take some time to watch this video giving a greater context to the event.

Finally, you are very welcome to join us at 8:30am this coming Sunday for breakfast in the Parish hall.

May God bless you as you go through the rest of your week.

See you on Sunday!
