This Sunday we will encounter two great heroes of faith, Anna and Simeon, who waited faithfully for God to fulfil his promises to them (Luke 2:22-40).

Time and again the Bible God make promises which take time to be realised. Abraham, Moses, and David are among those who have to wait for God’s words to come true. In some instances these things don’t even come to pass in their lifetime.

However frustrated they are by their waiting the Bible commits itself to an unwavering truth – God never fails and he never lets us down.
