Happy Birthday!

It might not be your birthday personally, nor that of this parish specifically, but Sunday is, nonetheless, our birthday. Pentecost marks the beginning of the church where the Spirit was poured out and flames alighted (get it!) on the heads of the disciples like they were a bunch of little candles.

The Spirit is the helper that Jesus promised his friends during his ministry (see John 14) – and as we know, Jesus never breaks a promise. The Spirit fills those who believe in Jesus and empowers us to live for God every day of the week.

So join us this Sunday to celebrate the start of the church, the keeping of Jesus’ promises, and the presence of God with us every day wherever we go.

Don’t forget about the special contemporary Pentecost service at 7:30pm on Sunday 9th (including Prosecco after).
