Joining a choir and singing together is an enriching experience and a church choir contributes to the musical life of the parish. You need commitment as you are part of a team but there is something profoundly uplifting about singing together. There are twelve of us in the choir and we sing in unison and in harmony and would welcome more voice parts.
We sing weekly in the Parish Church and also at special themed evening services during the year, particularly at Easter and Christmas led by Mary Ledingham our organist. We encourage guest singers to join us for these services, those who like to sing with us but cannot attend regularly every Sunday. We also sing at All Saints if there is a combined service under the direction of Richard King.
We do not have a children’s choir but children would be very welcome to sing with us at the family services held in the Parish Church.
Choir rehearsals are in the Parish church at 11.00am on Wednesday morning. If you think you would like to join the choir please come along and introduce yourself whether you are a soprano, alto, tenor or bass or even if you don’t know your voice part, we are a friendly and approachable group and encourage new members.
