The Font: Not Like Any Church Service You’ve Ever Been To

Want to explore faith in an informal way with like-minded people of all ages where you can have fun, ask silly questions (actually no question is ever silly), express your views, seek truth about Christian belief and not be squeezed into a mould? Then please join us at the Font and have fun.

Who is welcome?

People of all ages from 0 to 100+ ranging from those with no background in Christian faith right up to expert Christians (do they exist?)!  We are a group of people wanting to join together in a relaxed way (nothing you say or do is likely to be wrong or criticised), to meet others in our community, share our lives, explore real issues in the context of Christian experience and to find hope, joy and support as we learn together.

What do we do?

We meet café style. Coffee and refreshments are on the go all the time. We sit around tables or on the carpet, sing fun worship songs, watch videos, play games, do crafts, listen to a short talk on the Bible and discuss what it means to us. We love and welcome children. They can run around and make a noise with no-one criticising – and grown-ups can too if you like, but you can also sit sedately, sip coffee and take it all in quietly.

Who leads it?

Jim and Sheila King – who are parents and grandparents. Sheila is a retired Primary Headteacher. Jim is retired from lots of different things but is still an ordained minister.

When and where?

We meet in the Parish Hall, Church Lane, Chalfont St Peter every Sunday morning from 9.45 to 10.30 a.m. Refreshments start from 9,30.  Free parking in the Church Lane car park.  Enter via the churchyard or the Church Lane doors.

We would love you to join us. If you would like to know more, please email jim@csp.church or message/call me on 07785370803.

Thanks for reading this. We hope to hear from you.
