Welcome to the website for the three churches which make up the Chalfont St Peter Parish. St Peter’s in the Village, All Saints on Oval Way and St Paul’s, Hornhill, on the road to Maple Cross.
It is a joy to welcome you here and I hope that you find everything you need.
We are a welcoming group of churches which are filled with a friendly group of people. As a relative newcomer to the Parish, having only been installed as Priest-In-Charge in July, I can attest to the kind and generous welcome you will receive in any of our three churches.
We are a parish which is kind-hearted and spirited. We are filled with hope about the future that God has in store for us and we love to welcome people to join us on that journey of discovery. After a difficult period in the life of the parish, we are beginning to see signs of renewal, and this is both exciting and encouraging.
We are a parish which prides itself on being at the heart of our community and village and we strive to be a place of welcome and hospitality, which stems from our understanding of what it means to be ‘The Church’ as laid out for us in the Bible.
We hope to be a place of deep spirituality, faithfully celebrating the sacraments with dignity and joy, a place of imagination and hope as we follow the calling of God in our lives and a place where people of faith, or no faith, young or old can find a home. We do all of this whilst acknowledging that none of us are perfect and all of us are dependent on God’s love to carry us.
Wherever you are at this time in your life, whatever you have got going on, whoever you are, you are welcome in any of our churches, and we would be delighted to meet you. Please feel free to attend any of our services and events and, should it be your first time visiting us, please do introduce yourself and make that known to a welcomer.
Love and prayers,
Father Sam
Priest-In-Charge of Chalfont St Peter
