When Christians talk about worship, they think in terms of taking part in church services or personal devotion like prayer or Bible reading.
Traditionally Christians have worshipped together on Sundays because it was the day the disciples and other followers of Jesus discovered his tomb was open and empty and encountered the resurrected Christ in the days which followed – in and around Jerusalem and further away in Galilee.
It is important to us that all ages in the Parish can worship with us in a way which they feel most appropriate for them.
- Children and young families enjoy the Font and its activities. In the Parish Church at 10am on the first Sunday of the month there is an informal Family Service.
- Older worshippers generally appreciate the more traditional services. Apart from the Said Holy Communion Service at 8am, we have music and hymns at the other services.
We have Special Services at other times of the year, especially around festival times.
